So, you’ve probably noticed that I often perform A LOT at Crathorne Hall Hotel (one of the THE BEST hotels in the Yorkshire country area in my opinion!) and so I wanted to write this little post and give you all some brief insights into this amazing stately home!
(At the very end, I have left you my favourite reason for checking the hall out!)
This hotel is simply GORGEOUS and countless online reviews agree!
It is very highly rated and has 4 AA Red Stars rating and caters for both weddings and also business meetings!
As well as being a stunner of a venue, the hotel staff are also extremely approachable, fun to work with and will provide you with great customer service. No doubt when you book your stay here and enter the property, you will discover how special it is!
With top rated restaurant, lounge and bar services, you will be seriously well kept and fed here till your heart’s content!
I do also have to say that I am THE recommended Magician for weddings at the hotel!

The Location!
For starters, its location…

The hotel is straightforward to find.
Located in Yarm, North Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom and sits on 15 beautiful acres of private land property with a view of the to die for!
It was built as a statley home when Edward VII was still on the throne and so its layout is a mix of contemporary architecture and modern luxury!
The hotel is set on the edge of the Yorkshire Moor National Park, full of acres of greenery and nature, perfect for exploring and for letting children run wild and free!
It is also very close to local pubs and restaurants too as well as easy travel access to Darlington and Middlesbrough center and Middlesbrough golf club.
Take this into account, just in case you wanted to travel out to search and explore the nearby area during your stay and check out the local activities.
The Food at Crathorne Hall!
The hotel’s food is to die for!
I know, if like me, you have a weakness for good British food, a decent selection of beverages and top rate service, you’re in luck!
They DELIVER. All year round!
Its main dining room, The Leven Restaurant will cook for you and your guests one the finest Sunday lunch services in Yorkshire and a stomach-filling breakfast during your stay – I (and tons of customer reviews) can attest to this!
It also has a luxury lounge, The Drawing Room, which offers you a contemporary afternoon tea and a lounge bar. The Nancy Tennant Bar is the place for all of you fine wine and ale experts and also serves wonderful teas and coffees too from an extensive menu list!
Just picture yourself there in the restaurant or lounge, having breakfast with the Yorkshire Moors on the horizon!
Bliss.
The Accommodation
The hotel boasts 37 guest rooms each with unique character right down to the details! And also included in they stay, is free sign posted self car parking (and valet parking too), concierge and laundry service facilities!
The guest bedrooms include:
– The Classic
– The Executive
– The Deluxe
– The Four Poster
and finally the ultimate, “The Crathorne Suite”, as pictured in the above image.
TRIVIA TIME: The Crathorne Suite, as named, used to be Lord Crathorne’s own bedroom and bathroom, found in the main house of the property and with total privacy!
If you decide to book this particular room, you’ll be treated to some amazing sights of the gardens and also of the Leven Valley and areas beyond.
Each room in the hotel also comes with an en suite bathroom, free super fast wifi internet, DVD and CD players, large flat screen TVs, hand picked toiletries and laundry services in their facilities.
There is more than enough to make sure your family and guests are seriously well looked after!
Coupled with superb room service, you’re sure in for a treat!
If you’re staying with children, there are plenty of facilities to keep them entertained!

The Wedding Fairs!
If you want to see the venue in all its glory, walk around the rooms, halls and visit the grounds, you MUST go to their fairs and open days!
They will have the place property all dressed up and ready as if it were an actual wedding day! This will no doubt help visual perfectly how YOURS will look!
They also have their trusted recommended suppliers (I am their recommended magician!) and expert coordinators to guide you around and answer any questions and nagging doubts you may have!
Meeting the staff and vendors is a must!

The Edwardian interior design of the hall makes for some of THE best photos!

You can see the very pricey and antique style of the hotel as well as the contemporary paintings on display!
Your photographs NEED to look amazing and the backdrop to where you get married is so important! When you look back at your photographs, you need to be transported back to the exact time and place!
Here is where having me as your magician will take all of this to the next level.

After all is said and done, the guests have gone and you’re about to head off on your honeymoon, the way you will remember the day is through the eye of the photographer – THE album!
